    Do you have questions? We have answers! Here are a few commonly asked questions that we get in the shop:

    Q: What do I need to bring when I drop off my computer at Geek Delivery?


    A: If it's a desktop or tower computer, you need to bring just the tower - no power cables required. If we will be formatting your computer we do need your cd-key for your operating system. If the cd-key is not attached to your computer you need to bring it in separately so we can activate the computer. If the computer is a laptop, you MUST bring in your power cable so we can charge the machine while working on it. If the power cable is not brought in with it, we will probably discarge the battery before the service is complete and have no means to continue the repairs on the laptop.

    Q: How can I tell if my computer has a virus?

    A: Some signs of a virus are:

    - Unresponsive

    - Slow startup times

    - Not operating as you would expect

    Q: How can my computer contract a virus?

    A:

    - memory sticks

    - through networks

    - sneezing on your screen will not spread computer viruses

    A: Bring your computer into Geek Delivery between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday or give us a call for a personal consultation. Our experienced computer technicians can diagnose and remedy your computer ailments!

    Q: What is spyware?

    A: Spyware is software that monitors your computer and relays data about your computer to the originator of the spyware. It can monitor all types of activity on your computer.
